Are there books that would help with suggestions for these locations? There were 4 brothers who served from Louisa Co. I know where 2 are buried but one was killed in war and I have been trying to locate his grave. Does your research give you an idea of how often a body was returned to "home" or if they were usually buried nearby the death site? The last name was Merrill.
