Hi - Just a note to probably further confuse the issue on the Robinson name. I have done a lot of searching for my g-g-grandmother, Nancy Leach who married Charles Robertson. I have gone through some of the earliest birth, marriage and death records at the courthouse. Family tradition has it that Robinson and Robertson names were somewhat "interchangable" in that sometimes I would hear the name Robinson and sometimes Robertson for the same persons. My Nancy Leach's death certificate was filed as Robinson. Her daughter, Mrs. Fanny Ping was the informant and she was listed as Mrs. Fanny Ring in the record. Also, her grave is in Oakvile, but the death record lists her as being buried in Winfield. Why do I state her name as Robertson? Her daughter's marriage records at the courthouse all say Robertson. Her gravestone says Robertson. Can't find any funeral home records from that era from either Winfield or Oakville to prove either way. But my mother says we also have Robinson relations from some other branch of the family. Don't know any alive today, though. I did look through my hand copied listings from the marriage index #1 and found Robinson, Mary E. who married Daniel (thought the last name might have been Neill, from the handwriting) and this is in Book B, page 3, line 22. I didn't however, check it out further, just made a notation to that effect. There are also lots of Robison names listed as well as a whole bunch of Robertson and Robinson names. I don't know if this will help you any. I quit writing down Robinson names after I found all my g-g-grandmother's daughter's marriage certifiicates listed them as Robertsons. Was Mary still alive when Daniel died in 1905? Next time I go hunting at the courthouse, I'll look for a death record on Mary if you'd like.
