The folks on this list are so friendly and helpful, someone must know this. What is the situation for researching tax lists for the period 1840 to 1890? Are all the tax records in one place? Where would that be? I am trying to narrow down the date of death for FRANKLIN GRISWOLD who owned land in Louisa County between 1846 and 1887 and possibly beyond.
