I am hoping to locate a death record (or cemetery record) for Sylvina Hoyt Wigant who was born ca 1804 in Ontario County, NY and died ca. 1840. She was the wife of Peter Wigant, a resident of Wapello until about 1850. Their youngest son Thomas F was born 26 Feb 1840 in Wapello. In the 1840 census there is an adult female listed, so I assume her death was later. Her daughter Mary Wigant Lamphere is buried in Bethel Cemetery and the family has wondered if perhaps Sylvina might not have been buried there as well. Mary died 6 Oct 1882. Vern Wigant has a picture of the stone. Thought you might recommend a source that might be available. Is Bethel one of the cemeteries that has been read? Thank you, Ann S. Callow, member
