Patricia, From the Columbus Safeguard, November 30, 1900: (transcript): "Rebecca Jane McCurdy was born June 25, 1831, at Tunnel Hill, Coshocton county, Ohio; died Nov. 17, 1900 at the age of 69 years. She was married to Shakespeare McKee, Jan. 1852 and immediately came to Iowa, arriving Feb. 13. She settled with here husband on a farm in Oakland township, Louisa County, where she resided with the exception of 3 years in Iowa City, until the decease of her husband nine years ago. To their union were born eight children, four of whom survive their parents." From the Columbus Gazette, April 10, 1891. (transcript): "McKee, William Shakespeare. b. Feb. 18, 1824 bp.
