Sue, I checked the death records in Louisa County, for any "Higgs". All I found were: George W. Higgs, b1823(VA), d. 28 June 1898, Wapello. There is an obituary for him, if you are interested. There is also a Caroline Higgs (appears to be Geo's first wife), and Kisiah or Kisie Higgs, who was his second wife. Marriage records show George's (although the book shows C. W. instead of G. W.) marriage to Kesiah Vansickle, Feb 13, 1896. Alice Maud Higgs to Wm. Allen, Feb 11, 1871, A. M. Higgs to J. T Randolph, March 11, 1880, F. Josephine Higgs to Enos Nearhood, Jun 5, 1884.
