Looking for information on the family of John and Mary Ball Higgs. They were in Wales (Llanelly) until they moved to Liverpool and came to America in 1848. They had 9 children: Sophia, b. 1836, Elizabeth, 1838 who remained in Wales, John W., Samuel, Alfred, Henry(my great grandfather), Mary, Ellen and Charles. They were in IN until 1858 and moved to Louisa Co. Iowa. Samuel B. Higgs married Phebe C. McChesney in Muscatine Co Iowa 1874 but I cannot find him after that.
