Marilyn, Couldn't wait for the envelope to let you know that I was able to obtain a better copy of Charles' naturalization papers at the Clerk's office. I have also obtained copies of Thomas and Amanda's marriage certificate, and the death register entry for Catharine. Also, I copied marriage certificates for Thomas and Amanda's daughters, Mary Ethel Gallagher (m. George Mark Peters), and Katherine E. Gallagher (m. Mark M. Peters). The certificates for the daughters show a lot more information. Especially of interest, Katherine was born in Maryville, MO., ca. 1890, and Mary Ethel was born in Ringold Co., Iowa about 1881. I have not been able to find death information for Thomas and Amanda, except they are buried in Wapello cemetary. Perhaps they died in some other county??? or state? There are also some copies of an appointment of Charles as Thomas' guardian in 1856 (for a sale of land ), the original and final filing of Catherine's will. Do you want me to get a copy of Catherine's will? It might be several pages, but since it is not certified, the Clerk of Court charges only a minimal amount for photocopying.
