I am seeking marriage, birth, and other information on the Hamilton family who moved to Louisa Co. around 1837. Most of the marriages occurred after 1850, most of the births I am interested in occurred after that time as well. Is there a book or some other document that would have this type of information in it? I am still trying to find out what church this family attended, they were active members of the Hopewell ASsociated Reform Presbyterian Church in Ohio before they moved to Iowa. Names of particular interest are the children of John and Elizabeth Hamilton: Andrew Hamilton married to Lydia Paisley Catherine Hamilton married John B. Stewart, 2nd John M. Wilson Jane Hamilton married 2nd Nathaniel McCook Elizabeth Hamilton married Robert T. Mickey Mary "Molly" Bell Hamilton married Joseph Swan Gresel Smith Hamilton married James Cubit Nancy Hamilton married William Joy Any information about possible research sources would be greatly appreciated. I am actively looking to find which church this family attended to possibly find church records. John and Elizabeth are buried in Brown Rice Cemetery, was that associated with a particular church?
