    3. There is an index to the marriages. The Louisa County Genealogical Society would be happy to sell you one. Connie Street ckcasey@netins.net 325 Franklin Ave, Wapello, IA 52653-1515 319-523-8164 >Hi to Nancy, Linda, Sondra, Janis & Judy give me a couple of days--yes I have several messages for look-ups. As I stated, the Louisa Co. Marriages are not indexed therefore it takes some time to check through them. (116 pages) I am also cross-checking with the copy of the Louisa Co. 1850 Census Index too as well as the 1850 Mortality Schedule. If any of you would rather I didn't check these, let me know. Judy--we are both in Tacoma--Janis you are in WA too. One person asked if I charged for this--no I don't--not yet anyhow--I just enjoy making the connections for someone else. I know how delighted I am when I am able to make connections in my lines--just want to share the joy! Bev in Tacoma. > > >==== IALOUISA Mailing List ==== >SUPPORT ROOTSWEB! 3. Wapello County has nothing to do with the city of Wapello and the county of Louisa. It is so important for people to use maps when they are researching. 3. Is anyone working on a Webb family in Louisa County? I'm trying to find information on a Lucinda or Cinderella Webb who is found in the 1895 (?) census. She had at least one son, Albert. Some say her maiden name is Dennis. Her mother's name is Basha Prickett Lucas and if she lived with her mother as a young child, the man who would have raised her is Isaac Lucas. Approximate dates for Lucinda are 1832-1900 or so. Marcia Fiedler mfiedler@muscanet.com

    2. JIM HUBBARD
    3. Looking for information on the siblings of Simon W. Warner. His parents were Robert Warner (born 1788 in VA) married Elizabeth Fitsimmons in OH ca 1810. Simon W. was born 4 July 1811 in OH. He married Nancy Miller in 1836 in Louisa Co., IA. This leads me to believe Robert relocated from OH to IA. Simon W. is the oldest of 17 children. The youngest was Addison Warner and never was married. This is all I know about Simon W. in his generation. I do have quite a bit of info on Simon W. down. Jim

    3. I had difficulty getting the old forms set up on Louisa County and it did require a lot of manual work on my part so I have now set up a new system created by Randy Winch at Rootsweb on the Louisa County site. It is looking good already so I will probably convert Henry County to the new system also. Type away folks. All submissions are welcome. Norma

    2. Norma F. Jennings
    3. A new Search Engine has been installed on the Louisa County site that will search the entire website for your surnames. Keep in mind that you may get a 0 response to your surname if you use it immediately. This search engine needs three or four days to get the site completely indexed as it was just installed today, July 25, 1999. Norma Jennings http://www.rootsweb.com/~ialouisa/

    1. re:New GenConnect Boards for Louisa County
    2. Norma F. Jennings
    3. You all have the opportunity to participate in entering real data for Louisa County. The following boards have been set up on GenConnect for Louisa County. You may enter your own Queries, Bible Records, Biographies, Deeds, Obituaries, Pension Records and Wills on these pages in the very near future. The URL is not on the main Louisa County Genealogical Society pages yet as I am still working on an update of the main index page. However, an index to all the USA Counties using GenConnect is currently available at the following URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/usaindex.html Louisa County Boards are accessible today through the main index above, but links will be added to the Louisa County Genealogical Society Pages very soon so they can also be accessed there. The first board USA/IA/Louisa is where queries will be posted. USA/Ia/Louisa USA/Ia/LouisaBibl USA/Ia/LouisaBios USA/Ia/LouisaDeed USA/Ia/LouisaObits USA/Ia/LouisaPens USA/Ia/LouisaWill If you have entered queries in the past on the regular query pages of Louisa County, you may want to reenter them on the GenConnect Boards as data tends to get outdated as we all continue to find new info and correct datas. Eventually the old query pages now posted on the Louisa Site will be discontinued. Be sure you enter them on the correct boards as queries posted on any board other than the query board will be immediately deleted as they are for their own designated data. Norma Jennings

    3. As promised you can now add obituaries and other information that you have on Louisa County people on-line. I was having difficulty getting my obituaries to work the way I wanted them soooooo...I have now added links on the Louisa County pages to the Rootsweb GenConnect Boards. Since this is a new feature, don't expect to find any on there right away until some of you post them. There is a table on the Louisa County index page with links to forms allowing you to enter the following records you may have in your possession: Bible, Biographies, Deeds, Obituaries, Pensions, Queries, and Wills Norma Jennings http://www.rootsweb.com/~ialouisa
