    3. Gary, No problem. I'll let you know if I run across anything else. I also want to apologize for the way the names were listed. (In a long, long column.) I tried to "copy and paste" from the Excel worksheet, and didn't realize until I saw my message on the list that it didn't work. Still learning computer stuff, and didn't know I couldn't do that. 2. Dear Keith, This is a wonderful thing that you're doing and very much appreciated by everyone. The families I am researching are: PATTON: Huston Patton and Jane Price were married May 20, 1855 (2nd marriage for both) in Louisa County. Their son, born in 1856 in Louisa County, is my great grandfather. He was known as William by my family and on the 1900 Federal Census, as Francis W. on his marriage certificate and as Wilson on the 1860 and 1870 Federal Census. PRICE: Jane Price,as mentioned above, and 3 sons were living with the Joseph Brown family on the 1850 Louisa County census. BROWN: Joseph and Diantha - possibly Jane's parents? SPAFFORD: Jane Patton Spafford, sister of Huston, and Orleans Spafford lived in Louisa County. Thank you so much for all that you are doing. Debbie Henderson Deb19711@aol.com

They can help you if you haven't been there before. Lots of volunteers to show you where to look. I've been frequenting my local LDS FHL for over 15 years and haven't reached the point where I think I have all they have to offer. Try it... Shirley

    3. Hi Norma, I hope I am doing this right. This is the first time I have replied directly to the List. Most of the time, if I pick up a look-up name, it is easier to reply directly to the individual. However, after reading the List for sometime now, I think I have been remiss in doing it that way, as others can also pick up information on any name they might be also researching. Anyway, here's my information: Janice Hoehle P. O. Box 103 Wapello, IA 52653-0103 E-mail: janleeh@netins.net Surnames: ASHBY, NOBLE, WINCE.

    2. Hi Gary In your search for the Hankins family, have you run accross the names McKeehan or Clevenger. The reason I ask, is that these three family names are all connected in my family tree. I will go thru the names you sent me and see if any of them appear in the info I have. It is possible we have two completely different families of Hankins that we are talking about. My wife should be getting out of the hospital today so it might take a couple of days to research this but I will get back to you. If you don't hear from me in a couple of days, give me another shout. Ron Garmoe PapaRG@aol.com

    3. Dear Keith, I, too, am glad to know that you are mending well. The Lord has answered many prayers for your recovery. 8-) The families in my lines from the Louisa County area are: PARSONS -- Joel C. Parsons and Caroline Joachim (Vergler?) Parsons were the parents of 8 children, all born in Wapello, Louisa County, IA. My great grandfather was Abram Hamilton Parsons. I have not been able to find any Parsons connected with this line. I am a subscriber to the PARSONS list for the last year and nothing has surfaced. Joel Parsons emigrated to Iowa from Washington County, PA in the 1840's (do not know the specific year). SIMMONS OGIER BENNINGTON EDGINGTON I think these are the lines that have been the most "interesting" to try to follow.
