Mrs. Reddick had been a resident of the Wapello- Muscatine area for 30 years. Her previous place of residence was Elrick Junction. The daughter of Jacob and Sarah Pontzius Shaffer, Mrs. Redick was born in Wisconsin on November 17, 1873. She was married to George Washington Reddick, who died in April 1948. Surviving are the son, Harold Reddick; two daughters: Mrs. Cleta Chapman, Muscatine and Mrs. Jessie Kiser, Oakville, and an adopted son, Edward Reddick, of Sanford, Nebraska. Also surviving are two brothers: George Shaffer, Davenport and William Shaffer, Wapello; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Dudgeon funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Officiating will be the Reverend Mr. Buttenbach, pastor of the Glad Tidings Church of Muscatine. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.

Born Aug. 19, 1916, in Oakville, she was the daughter of Oliver Lowry and Gladys Ruth Matson Willson. She married Robert T. Greer on Dec. 27, 1949. Mrs. Greer lived in Louisa County until 1936, attended school in Wapello, and moved to Little York, Ill., where she graduated from Monmouth College. She also attended the University of Wisconsin and taught school in Joy(Ill.) High School for two years. She was a bacteriologist for seven years with the Sanitary Engineering Lab in Springfield, Ill. She lived in Upper Darby, Pa., from 1951 to 1962, when she moved at Geneva College for 25 years, including 23 years as a mail clerk. She was a member of College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Highlanders Woman's Missionary Fellowship, and was treasurer of the College Hill Woman's Christian Temperance Union. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Ruth Lois Greer of Kinsman, Ohio; one son, William Samuel Greer of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Ivan Willson of Roopville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews, three sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pa. A graveside service for Mrs. Greer will be 3 p.m. Friday in the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery Church Cemetery in rural Morning Sun. A memorial has been established. Dr. Abel, who lived alone at his home on West Hill, had been staying at Muscatine temporarily. He was born near Yarmouth and settled in Columbus Junction several years ago. His wife, the former Nelly Davis, died about a year ago. Surviving are a son, Floyd Abel, a patient in the Veterans Hospital at Knoxville; a brother, Louis Abel, Fort Madison, and a sister in California. The body is at the Stephens funeral home.
I've "rescued" an old autograph album which belonged to Bertha C. LONG of Iowa. Naylor, Morning Sun, Iowa, this afternoon identified the man believed killed by a hit and run driver in near Mediapolis last night, as his brother, William Naylor, 65, of Fort Madison, Iowa. Police earlier in the afternoon identified the body as that of William Mahlor of Fort Madison, the spelling of the name being wrong due to misunderstanding of a couple that met the man yesterday. Naylor is survived by two daughters, Virginia, of Fort Madison, and Blanche of Pueblo; three other brothers, Adrian and Lemuel of Missouri, and Vincent of Colorado; and two sisters, Mrs. Georgianna Croson of Morning Sun and Miss Estella Naylor of Macon, Missouri. Formerly residing in Mediapolis, he moved from there to Fort Madison about a year ago. He had lived in Fort Madison, most of his life. Funeral services have not been arranged. Cross infant rites Tuesday Gary Lee Cross, 19-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cross of 42 Ironwood, Burlingotn, died Christmas Day, Dec. 25. He had been ill since birth. He is survived by one brother, Jerrold, his parents and grandparetns, Mr and Mrs. Alvie Tisor, Oakville, Mrs. Vina Cross of Wapello and William Cross of Grand Rapids, Mich. The fuenral service was held at Prugh's Chapel i Burlington, Tuesday, Dec. 29. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Burlingotn.

Niccolls, 76, on April 28, at Pecos, Texas, following a long illness. Niccolls was born on a farm near Morning Sun, December 22, 1877. At the age of 18 he left and for more than 20 years had been employed by the federal government in various points in Texas. Surviving are his wife, one son Charles Jr., El Paso, Texas, three brothers, Joe C. Niccolls, Morning Sun; Paul Niccolls, Saratoga, California, and George Niccolls, Los Angeles, California.
