Morris (Katherine) Passes Away Was Sick 3 Weeks The spirit of Mrs. Michael Morris (Katherine) passed to its heavenly home at an early hour this morning, when the death angel entered. Her death was due to heart trouble, and came after 3 weeks illness, at 12:30 AM at her home at K and Reid Streets. Mrs. Morris was a devout member of St. Peter's Catholic Church ever since she came to Keokuk, thirty-six years ago and she was one of the best known and most loveable women in the community in which she had lived so long. She was 65 years of age at the time of her death and her demise, which was not without warning, was still so sudden as to come as a severe shock to her large circle of friends and acquaintances, as well as to the immediate relatives who are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. She is survived by 8 children and 35 grandchildren. Her husband, Michael, died Feb 13, 1905. The children who survive are: Mrs. Mary Landman of Keokuk; Mrs. George Bogle and Mrs. John Servos of Mooar; Mrs. Frank Dwyer of St. Joseph, MO; Mrs. John Aiken of Keokuk; Mrs. Sherman Enterline of Drummond, OK; Miss Kate Morris of Chicago; and Joseph Morris of Keokuk. Two other children preceeded her to the land beyond the grave some years ago.
