Schwartz Taken from the West Point Bee, Lee County, Iowa Julius (Jud) H. Schwartz Julius (Jud) H. Schwartz, 77, West Point, died Monday, December 7, 1992, at Keokuk Area Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born December 25, 1914, in St. Paul, the son of Nick and Margaret Kruse Schwartz. He married Theresa F. Lutz on September 27, 1938, in St. John’s Catholic Church in Houghton. She survives. Mr. Schwartz was a retired oil truck driver and a lifelong resident of the West Point areas. He was a member of the West Point Senior Citizens and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Chuck (Darlene) Myers and Mrs. Albert (Viola) Lampe, both of Donnellson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Visitation was after 9 AM Wednesday at Link Funeral Home in West Point, with a Rosary being recited at 3 PM Wednesday and a Christian Wake service following at 7:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in West Point. Casket bearers were Wayne Schwartz, David Lampe, Dan Myers, Nick Schwartz, Ray Lutz and Kenneth Schwartz. A memorial was established, with contributions being left at the funeral home.
