Lutz, a well-known and respected young farmer of near Mt. Hamill, passed away at his home, Saturday, September 4, 1915, at 9:40 AM, aged 28 years, 10 months and 23 days, death being due to tuberculosis. Deceased was born in Keota, Iowa, October 12, 1886 and grew to manhood there. He came to this county in 1909 and on February 21, 1911 he was married to Christine Denning. He is survived by his wife and two children, Everett and Theresa. Also by his father and mother, Mr. And Mrs. Frank Lutz, four brothers, John, Ambrose, George, and Ed Lutz, and three sisters, Mrs. Redlinger, Bertha and Leona Lutz, all of Keota. Mr. Lutz was a member of St. John’s church at Houghton and also of St. John’s society. He was a dutiful, kind and loving husband father, and was respected by all that knew him. Funeral services were held at St. John’s church at Houghton Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Rev. Father Adam officiated at the services, which were attended by many relatives and friends of the deceased including the members of St. John’s society. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
