Lutz Dies at 75 West Point-Mrs. Christina Lutz, 75, resident of West Point, died at 3:45 PM Saturday in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison. Mrs. Lutz was born Jan. 30, 1886, at St. Paul, Iowa. On Feb. 21, 1911, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Houghton, she was married to Peter Lutz. He preceded her in death in 1915. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church, West Point, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary’s parish, Fort Madison. Survivors include a son, Everett Lutz, Houghton; one daughter, Mrs. Julius Schwartz, West Point; two brothers, Henry Denning and Conrad Denning, Houghton; four sisters, Mrs. S. J. Link, West Point, Mrs. Anna Kuhljuergen, Mrs. Albert Brockman, Mrs. Robert Manegold, Fort Madison; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Point, with Msgr. J.A. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery at Houghton. The body was taken from the Link Funeral Home to the Julius Schwartz home in West Point where the rosary will be recited at 8 PM today.
