Does any one know of any published accounts of a cholera epidemic in Ft. Madison, Lee County in the summer of 1852? I am seeking historical data on that epidemic. The first wife and child of my great-great grandfather, William Winters, are believed to have perished of the disease in that year. The child, Charles K. Winters, is buried in Ft. Madison's City Cemetery, next to his father, but we found no grave for the mother, Mrs. Mary (Crisher) Winters there. Susan Rezek
