Dear Susan, I have been enjoying the biographies you are putting on the above county site. Would you be able to check on the Almendinger family who came from Germany and settled in Ft. Madison, IA? I have an aunt who married George Almendinger who was born in Franklin in 1876, and lived in Ft. Madison from age three. Jacob Almendinger was the father's name.
