FANNING PASSED AWAY. Deceased Was Respected by a Large Acquaintance. Mrs. Bridget BURKE FANNING passed away at her home at No. 23 North Twelfth Street at 6 o'clock Sunday evening, he demise resulting from the effect of injuries received in a fall which occurred on December 27. The decreased was a consistent member of Saint Francis de Sales church and was a woman for whom the highest respect was entertained by her acquaintances and friends. Mrs. FANNING was possessed of many admirable traits of character and was one of the most devoted of mothers. Her death will produce sorrow in many circles. Mrs. FANNING was born in Birr, now Parsonstown, Kings County, Ireland, on July 15, 1830, and was therefore seventy-four years, five months, and eighteen days of age at the time of her death, having been blessed to reach a ripe old age before departing this world the results of an accident. The family came to America in 1839 and located a Marietta, Ohio. She was married in 1849 to John FANNING, the ceremony taking place in the Cathedral at Cincinnati and they resided in the city until 1853 when they came to Keokuk, this city having been her residence ever since. Three children are left to mourn the loss of a good mother and grandmother. They are: C. E. FANNING and four children of Davenport, G. W. FANNING and five children of the city and Miss Helen M. FANNING also of Keokuk.
