Mahittable MINTON born -Jan.1825[?Iowa or poss. OH]; died 7 Feb.1851 Keokuk, Lee Co.,IA; married in Lee Co.,IA 9 Nov.1849 Joseph Carroll ESTES. They are the parents of only one child being my gr-grandmother, Mary Josephine ESTES who was born 6 Apr.1847 Lee Co.,IA. As Mary Josephine ESTES was born 2yrs. *prior* to their marriage....she was either born out of wedlock or possibly Mahittable MINTON was married previously....tthis is my rock wall. I am searching for any MINTON / MINTUN connections to try to locate any further info. Over the years I have been in contact with the Lee Co. Gen. Society and have hired (2) researchers and the results have proven nothing in locating anything earlier on Mahittable's parents, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you...
