RISSER Mr. P.W. Risser was born December 22, 1844, in the Kingdom of Bavaria, Germany, and came to this country with his parents during the year 1851, and has lived the greater part of his life in Van Buren and Lee Counties, Ia. At the age of 15 he was confirmed as a member of the Mennonite church near Donnellson and has thruout his life led a devout Christian life that was above human reproach. He was married to Henrietta Bank at Primrose, Ia., January 2, 1873, and moved shortly afterward to Farmington, Ia., where they resided for about eight years. During their residence here the three children were born. In 1881 they moved to the old home place, three miles east of Farmington to care for Mrs. Risser's father, who died in 1906. They have since resided there. He leaves to mourn their loss his loving and faithful wife and three daughters, Mrs. R.W. Stansbury, Mrs. T.Y. Nelson of Farmington, Ia. and Mrs. H.A. Moline, who lives on the home place; ten grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bank and Miss Anna Risser of Keokuk, Ia., and Henry Risser of Mt. Pleasant, Ia. About 3 years ago Mr. Risser's health begain to fail seriously and after much suffering, which was patiently borne at all times, the end came on September 1st, at the Graham Hospital in Keokuk. Mr. Risser was a quiet and unassuming man whose memory will be cheerisshed by all who were privileged to know him. --------------------------------- NOTE: Peter and Henrietta Risser are both buried in the Farmington Cemetery, Farmington, IA Peter W.
