FRANK'S DEATH OCCURS THIS MORNING - Mrs. Lucinda Frank, a Resident of Keokuk for Sixty-two years Dies at Her Home After Illness of Several Years. (Keokuk Daily Gate City - Tuesday, 3/19/1929) Mrs. Lucinda Frank, resident of Keokuk (Lee County) for sixty-two years died at her home, 208 South Fourteenth street this morning at 6:30 o'clock after an illness of several years. She had been a patient sufferer during all of her ill health. Lucinda Holdefer was born at Fort Madison on April 20, 1844, and if she had lived until April 20, she would have been eighty-five years of age. She was united in marriage with Johann Charles A. Frank on August 14, 1866. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1911. Eight children were born. Mrs. Frank was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical church. Surviving her are her five children: Mrs. Maggie (J.E.) Walter of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Minnie (James) Corrigan of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; Edward Frank of Detroit, Mich,; and Charles H. and George A. both of Keokuk. There is also a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Rau of this city; two brothers, Daniel Holdefer of Kansas City, Mo., and Henry Holdefer of Colfax, Iowa; and eighteen grandchildren. At her bedside at the time of her death were her two sons, Charles and George and her granddaughter, Mrs. Roy McQuade of Fort Madison. The body was taken to the Keokuk Funeral Home where it will remain until Thursday morning. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
