FRANK DIES AT HOME FRI. AFTER LONG ILLNESS (Keokuk Daily Gate 6/29/1946) (*Notice it says Charles A. but the obit is written for Charles H.) Charles H. Frank, veteran cabinet maker, died at his home, 1109 South Seventh street at 5:40 p.m. yesterday after an illness of two years. Seventy-seven years old, he was born in Keokuk (Lee County) on November 15, 1868, the son of Charles and Lucinda Holdefer Frank, and spent all of his life in this city. On April 18, 1894, he married Mary McLaughlin. They celebrated their golden wedding in 1944. He was a member of the St. Peter Catholic church. At the age of 16 he started to learn the trade of cabinet maker and was with the Henry Schmidt and Son Planing Mill until it discontinued business in 1910 at which time he worked for the S.C. and S. F. Carter Mill until it disbanded in 1929. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, William C. Frank of Chicago and James A. Frank of Keokuk; two daughters, Mrs. Helen (Theodore) Breakbill and Mrs. Madeline (J.H.) Kern of Keokuk; five grandchildren; a brother George A. Frank of Keokuk; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie (James) Corrigan of Hermosa Beach, Calif. Three sisters and two brothers have preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning in the St. Peter church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Schmidt Memorial Home where the body will remain.
