Eugene died Nov.30,1907 and there was a terrible family fued over a team of matched Horses in the barn which belonged to my G Grandfather, but since he was living on the farm anf taking care of his father the family claimed the horses as they were in the barn when Eugene died. That split the family and they were never a faily unit again. If you have any additional information , I would appreciate hearing from you.

Barbara, I live near Montrose, and I know there was a Farris family here early on. In fact, I knew of a Nellie Farris that was a school teacher for many years. I am a school teacher, and survived my first day back with the kids today. In addition, this weekend is the big Watermelon Festival in Montrose. It may take until sometime next week, but I'll look to see what I have on this Farris family and get back to you. I'm quite sure I have some obits, etc. Don't hesitate to bug me about this if you don't hear back from me by the end of next week. Mary Sue
