Hale is about a whole ten houses, not very big. There is an old eatery there that is no longer in business and the owner of it has a lot of records which deal with the history of Hale. If you write to the postmistress at Hale (she has the post office in her home and everyone must go there to pick up their mail!) she'll know who the owner of the old night club is and can give you his name and address. He used to keep pictures of Hale on the walls of the dining room and is the only one in Hale who knows much, except perhaps the postmistress. I can tell you they're NOT at the Jones County Genealogical Society, although they MIGHT be at the Historical Society in Edinburgh.
