Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5k.2ADE/1267 Message Board Post: Louisa Mitchell was born in New Jersey, June 2nd 1822, and died at her home in Monmouth, February 19, 1904. she married Ben Hanson March 10, 1840. to this union were born three children of whom one still lives. Mr. Hanson died in 1852. On August 21, 1853 she married A. J.(Andrew Jackson) Trimble. To this union were born two children, one of whom is still living--Allen. Mr. Trimble, her husband, died September 25, 1892. It can be said emphatically she was a good neighbor, a loving and devoted mother, and dutiful wife. Our loss is her gain. Besides her children and grandchildren she leaves nine great grandchildren to mourn her loss. She gave two sons to the War of the Rebellion, one grandson to the regular Army, and one to the Cuban War. Funeral services were held in the M.E. (Methodist) Church, Monmouth, Iowa, Feb 21st, in the presence of a large company of people who came to pay the last tribute of respect to the departed. The members of the Grand Army marched in! a body. Rev. Thos. Carson Officiated
