    1. CARTER & TUBBS 1880 census question??
    2. John Gebhardt
    3. I recently found out that my Kate CARTER married a H. M. TUBBS in 1875. By 1895 census H. Tubbs was married to someone else - Melissa. Question: Would someone have an index or access to 1880 or 1890 census (Guessing Maquoketa Township) to see if H.M. Tubbs is still married to Kate? Would someone have a death index to check to see if Kate (Carter) Tubbs died between 1875 & 1895? I didn't realize she had married so never looked under any other name than Carter when looking in death indexes. thank you. Betty

    3. Thank you for the information. It was very helpful. I thought that Katie CARTER had died early because I'd found a H. Tubbs married to someone else in the later Jackson County area census. However, I found that I should have looked in the Clinton County Census for them. Thank you so much for the help it answered several questions!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Tolley" <ctolley1@earthlink.net> To: <IAJACKSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2004 5:58 PM Subject: Re: [IAJACKSO] CARTER & TUBBS 1880 census question??
