Emmett Cooley was not married to Susan but to Sarah Dalby The letter that I have dated 18 May 1873, Brandon, Jackson County, Iowa talks about her husband Emmett and Uncle William Preston. She says "Jane has another boy she calles him grand. I have another girl. I call her Eva Arminia." She also writes, "Adaline hasn't got well yet her and Lizzy had the spotted fever. They was taken last April a year ago and Lizie died the 3rd of October. Adeline is able to go around. She is over to Uncle William Prestons. The rest is well as comon." Lacy, Sarah's daughter, then writes a few lines. She gives the names of her two children, Guy and Ida. Anyone wanting a copy of the letter I will be happy to share it. Loretta Nixon
