She was born in Jackson County IA and was the daughter of John Peter Gosche and Magdalena Wolf. The Gosche family moved to Sheridan County KS about 1888. Mathilda married Anton Schwager 26 Oct 1910 at Selden Kansas. Anton was born 12 Apr 1882 at Witternburg Germany. He was the son of Anton and Kresentia Nagler Schwager. After their marriage, Anton and Mathilda lived in Jackson County IA. Their children were: Anton P. - b. 1912; Armella M. - b. 1914, m. Mr. Agnitsch; Crescentia (Sr. Mary Stephen) - b. 1916; Sylvester B. - b. 1917; Vincent V. - b. 1919, m. Rosemary Deppe; Stephen A. - b. 1921; Alfred J. - b.1924; Wilfred; Donna (Sr. Donna); and Bennett - b. 1926, m. Velma Hintgen. John Peter Gosche was my great-grandfather.
