Thanks Jenny. I have my Watson's pretty well figured out EXCEPT for my g-grandfathers father, Columbus Watson and I'm begining to think he didn't come to Iowa with them. On the back of the gravestone of my uncle and aunt, Ruth and William Watson in Mt. Hope cemetery in Maquoketa is the name, Sally Woods Ralf. I believe this is a daughter. I thought if I could find some of her family, I might learn more about Bill and Ruth. When my Uncle Ralph drowned in Wisconsin in the 50"s, I think his wife moved to Clinton. She was orignally from Lost Nation and her name was Araminta Clarkson. I don't know if any of her children moved with her or not. G-grandma and grandpa had 11 children so I don't know if there would be any relatives around there yet or not. I have posted many times to the Jackson county site and if there are some then they aren't interested in the family history. This is probably more than you wanted to know but once I get started, I can't seem to get stopped. I'll go into Clinton county now and see what I come up with. Thanks again.
