My name is Marge McCarron DeGear and my father was Edward McCarron and we lived on a farm near Spragueville, Jackson Co., Iowa. I remember my father talking about Nick Tillmoney but I don't have any info on him. I have looked through my Jackson Co. books and haven't found anything about him, but maybe the fact that there was a Nick Tillmoney living in Jackson Co., Iowa in the early 1930's may help. Marge

There is alot of detail about them on the internet- and in a book about the emigration by Carol Bennett. They first settled around Ottawa and Peterborough area. Several of my family members later emigrated to the US.

My gg-grandmother's maiden name is supposed to have been GREEN. She was married to a Stephen or Albert ROBERTS. When my g-grandmother was born in 1863 I believe they were living in Cascade, Iowa. I haven't been able to find either family. My g-grandmother went on to marry Frank WATSON. They had 11 children and lived for about 70 years in Maquoketa, Jackson county. Thank you.
