    3. Peggy; Would you look in Iowa township, Jackson Co, on the 1856 state census to see if my William and Faith Kitchen are there? I have found them on the 1860 Fed Census there but not sure when they came to Iowa. Also if you have the Clinton co, Deep Creek township 1856 state census, would you look for a Thomas Kitchen and his wife Charlotte. they are also on the 1860 Fed Census. Thomas and William were brothers. Thanks. 1. [IAJACKSO] Need help with these names
    2. Donna
    3. I'm trying to find the family of Steve and Sarah TAYLOR ANDREWS. My uncle married one of their daughters...Gertrude B. Andrews, March 16, 1912. Gertrude also had a brother, Frank G. who married Bessie PETERS in January of that year and a sister, Galilee Blanche who married Verne Ward STEVENSON in 1915. If I could find descendents of the ANDREWS family, maybe I could find out whether the marriage ended in divorce or in the death of Gertrude. I'm also looking for BELL family who had a daughter by the name of Jessie. I have no b-date or parents names. She would have been my uncles second wife. Any help with this would be so much appreciated. Thank you. Donna

They were born in Ireland in the early 1800's. They imigrated to New York and later moved to Green Island, Iowa. They are listed in both the 1850 and 1860 census records for Jackson County, Iowa. 3. Thanks Jenny. I have my Watson's pretty well figured out EXCEPT for my g-grandfathers father, Columbus Watson and I'm begining to think he didn't come to Iowa with them. On the back of the gravestone of my uncle and aunt, Ruth and William Watson in Mt. Hope cemetery in Maquoketa is the name, Sally Woods Ralf. I believe this is a daughter. I thought if I could find some of her family, I might learn more about Bill and Ruth. When my Uncle Ralph drowned in Wisconsin in the 50"s, I think his wife moved to Clinton. She was orignally from Lost Nation and her name was Araminta Clarkson. I don't know if any of her children moved with her or not. G-grandma and grandpa had 11 children so I don't know if there would be any relatives around there yet or not. I have posted many times to the Jackson county site and if there are some then they aren't interested in the family history. This is probably more than you wanted to know but once I get started, I can't seem to get stopped. I'll go into Clinton county now and see what I come up with. Thanks again.
