    3. Hi Ron, My husband's last name is JOY. I've done very little research on this family but one of his cousins has. You might try contacting Russ at <rczap@hotbot.com>. Our JOY line moved to Nebraska from Michigan but I know there are some relatives in IA. I think I've run into Eli JOY looking at census records. Are the JOYs in Henry Co Quakers? If so you might try subscribing to the Quaker list at <QUAKER-ROOTS-D-request@rootsweb.com> I copied this some years back but Russ didn't find an immediate connection with our family. 1870 U.S. Census - Union Twp, Mahaska Co IA pg 27 186 187 Joy, Franklin L. 23 Farmer 500 660 Michigan " , Mary A. 22 kpg house PA " , Clarence 1 IA " , Addie V. 8/12 IA (b. Sep) My husband's aunt told me some years back there's been at least two books published on the JOY family. You might check the LDS Library Catalog. Sorry not to be of more help.
