I believe I've got more e-mail from this site in the last hour than I have since I subscribed several months ago. I have two groups from the Salem area that I am looking for info about: 1. JOY, WAY, FRAZIER, and ARNOLD who were all Quakers that came to the county around 1837. 2. LIGHTNER and FOSTER who settled around Lowell, Baltimore Township in 1853. I have a copy of "The WAY FAMILY of NANTUCKET" and "The JOY FAMILY HISTORY" which include many who settled in Henry county and would be happy to look-up info for anyone interested. Benjamin Lightner (b. 1845 PA d. 1873) and wife Susan Foster (b. 1850 Ohio d. 1881) died young leaving my great grandfather, Frank Lightner, a nine year old orphan raised by his grandfather Frank Foster and grandmother Mary Riley. I am trying to find out the cause of Benjamin's death. I just recently found the location of his grave in an eleven volume set of books in the LA City Library "Henry County Cemeteries". My Way family in Iowa includes Rachel Way, daughter of Henry Way, who came with her husband Reuben Joy to Salem in 1837. Thanks for any help, Mark mjklein@mindspring.com
