NE biography book don't tie with mine (as far as I know) but many of my Henry Co. Iowa ancestors moved to Thayer Co. NE and Republic Co. KS. Wondering what caused them to migrate to that specific area - does your book indicate anything like that? I'm researching GRANT, McBRIDE, GINN and WHITE - all from the Rome, Henry Co., Iowa area.
