Hi Barb: I'm not sure if both funeral homes were in business that early, however, I suspect they both were. I used to walk by Beatty Funeral Home every day while walking to and from school. I would check with the Henry County Vital Records Office: Henry County Clerk, l00 E. Washington, Mt. Pleasant, IA 5264l-l93l; (3l9)385-8480. The Public Library will look that up for you too.
