Following is from Ancestry's Red Book: Henry Co birth and death records were not kept until 1880, though marriage records were sometimes kept from 1836. Iowa prefers you collect records from after July 1, 1880 from the State archives. For the Henry Co marriages prior to that, you can write to the Clerk of Courts at Mount Pleasant, IA 52641. Iowa Department of Public Health has information on-line for ordering records from the state at http://www.idph.state.ia.us/pa/vr.htm As for Fairfield, that's in Jefferson Co, Iowa. I don't have any research to do there, but I took a quick peek around, but didn't find any on-line records for them. Perhaps someone else who's researching there can answer that question.
