(Sherry) Wilson, 75, Palm Desert, Calif., died at her home Oct. 10 after a brief illness. Sherry was born Oct. 23, 1930 in River Sioux, the fourth of six children born to Ralph and Anna Anderson. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1949. She relocated to southern California to pursue a career with United Airlines as a flight attendant, married, and settled in Burlingame, Calif., to raise her family. She then lived at Boulder Creek, Calif., and most recently at Palm Desert, Calif. Sherry was an avid golfer and tennis player and a member of the Palm Desert Greens Golf and Country Club. She is fondly remembered as the "hostess with the mostest," and enjoyed entertaining and bringing those she loved together. Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Robert D. Wilson, Palm Desert, Calif.; children, Robin Watson and Craig Wilson; she was special mother-in-law to John and Debbie and devoted grandmother to Diana, Jeanene and Christie Harlick, and Ju! stin and jenny Wilson. Area survivors include: her sister, Marian Richardson, Missouri Valley; brother, Paul Anderson, Omaha; sister, Pauline McColley, Omaha; and many nieces and nephews. No funeral services are planned. The Neptune Society is handling her cremation. Honoring Sherry's wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Hospice Odyssey House at 71-777 San Jacinto Drive, Suite 102, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270.
