(Linnell) Jensen February 16, 1920 - Aug. 30, 2006 10/25/2006 Mable H. Jensen, 86, of Missouri Valley, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at Westmont Care Center. Memorial services were held Sept. 3, 2006 at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with Pastor Connie McWilliams officiating. Burial of cremains was held Oct. 14 at Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Missouri Valley. Mable was born February 16, 1920 in Topeka, Kan. to Red and Veda (Snook) Linnell. She married Raymond W. Jensen Sept. 11, 1941. They moved to the Missouri Valley area in 1949 and she remained there until she moved to Westmont in October of 2005. Mable worked as a cook at Sunny Side Café., the Tamarack, Franklin's Café and Rath Inn. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, tulips and house plants. Survivors include her daughters Joyce Wakehouse and husband Wayne of Missouri Valley, Donna Jean McDunn and husband Pat of Missouri Valley; son Michael Jensen and wife Kay of Council Bluffs; step-sons Wayne Jensen and wife Norma of Pisgah; Norman Jensen and wife Ilene of Logan; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mable was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, sons Jerry and Robert, two grandsons and stepdaughter Muriel.
