Renz of Woodbine Friday afternoon, July 21, 2000, at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Officiating at the 1 p.m. service was Darrell Argotsinger. Organist was Marjorie Kraushaar and music selections included "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." Interment was made at Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, Neb. Casket bearers were Wes Renz, Rex Rains, Dwayne Walker, Clydia McKean, Delbert Navrude, John Hemmingson. Military honors were conducted at the graveside. Wesley A. Renz, age 69, of Woodbine, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at the Rose Vista Home in Woodbine. Wes was born April 30, 1931 in Dunlap to Conrad and Cornelia (Frazier) Renz. Wes served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. May 5, 1974 Wes married Delilah McKean in Modale. He farmed and lived in Woodbine his entire life. He enjoyed trees, gardening and wildlife. Survivors include his wife, Delilah of Woodbine; son, Wes Renz of Woodbine; daughter, Nancy Renz of Woodbine; sisters, Dorothy Birdsall of Slater and Mary Baxter of Woodbine; brothers, Ernest Renz of Woodbine and Leonard Renz of Moorhead. Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Mabel and Deloris.
