Orland was born December 7, 1926 near Earling, Iowa to parents Forrest F. and Eva (Mayer) Densmore. He attended country school near Buck Grove then high school in Defiance. In 1943 he married Esther Mary Herrera from Dallas, Texas where he served in the Navy. Orland worked as a painter at LTV Aircraft in Dallas, Texas for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; two infant daughters, Pamela and Tony and his parents. He is survived by five children who were the highlight of his life, Charlene Holloway of Roanoke, Texas, Cherry Holloway (David) of Arlington, Texas, Pepper Jo Briggs (Joe) of Arlington, Texas, Forrest Densmore of Pickton, Texas and Daniel Densmore of Grand Prairie, Texas. Orland also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eunabelle Brewster of Wilbur, Ark., Elaine Smith of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Marjorie Spencer Fox of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Darlene Carrigan of Dunlap; brother, Darrell Densmore of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; uncle, Don Densmore of Dunlap. Funeral services were held at Lakeside Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas., with Pastor N. J. Gros officiating. Arthur Busby and Rochelle Gros furnished the violin and vocal music.
