(Jones) August 12, 1946 - January 14, 2007 The Daily Nonpareil 1/16/2007 Alice R. (Jones) Cross Alice R. (Jones) Cross, age 60, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 14, 2007. Born August 12, 1946, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Marvin and Martha (Smith) Jones. Alice worked for many years at Pizza Hut, Taylor Quick Pik and most recently at Eddy's on East Broadway. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Jones; brother, Marvin G. Jones. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Vergamini and husband, Pat, and Karen Trout, all of Council Bluffs; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Patricia Hiles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Shirley Rowe and husband, Raymond, of Salisaw, Okla., Ada Isom and husband, Richard, of Missouri Valley; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with family Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial Service Thursday at 11 a.m., all at Cutler-O'Neill- Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. It was Alice's wish to be cremated. Luncheon to follow services at American Legion, Council Bluffs.
