Cunard October 15, 1925 - May 9, 2007 The Daily Nonpareil 5/11/2007 Nellie E. Weaver, age 81, of Council Bluffs, passed away May 9, 2007, at Mercy Hospital. Nellie was born October 15, 1925 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to the late Bennett and Stella (Allmon) Cunard. She married Sidney Weaver in 1947 and together they owned and operated the Willows Motel from 1954-1985. Nellie was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Weaver in 1988; granddaughter, Nellie Weaver-Garcia; and brother, Bennett Cunard. Nellie is survived by two daughters, Jean Lawson, of Council Bluffs; Judy Driver and husband, Butch, of Underwood; two sons, Charles "Buddy" Weaver and wife, Ole, of Mason City, Iowa, Sidney Weaver, of Omaha; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; four sisters, Fern Thompson and husband, Rev. Ralph, of Council Bluffs, Marianne Riddle, of West Plains, Mo., Gert Tague and husband, Marty, of Omaha, Catherine Lawrence and husband, Amos, of Windsor, Colo.; two brothers, Kenneth Cunard and wife, Helen, Pete Cunard and wife, Connie, all of Missouri Valley; many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family, Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler- O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mark Prugh, Pastor, officiating. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery, Missouri Valley, Ia. with a lunch following at the church.
