Jerry is the son of the late Louis and Ruth Culver of Dunlap and a graduate of the Dunlap Public School. He became acting postmaster in Dunlap May 31, 1965 and was named as postmaster, August 18, 1966, which led to a career of 24 years of service in Dunlap. His wife Barbara is a former art teacher in Dunlap. They are the parents of two children, Chris Culver of Mesa, Ariz., and Kim Buter of Scottsdale, Ariz.
