Risney, 80 12/10/2004 Longtime Missouri Valley high school teacher and local photographer Kathryn Anne Risney, 80, Missouri Valley, died Nov. 29 at Alegent Health Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha. Mrs. Risney, widow of popular photographer, broadcaster and businessman, Harry Risney, was retired as a teacher in the Missouri Valley School system, and continued to operate Risney Studio. For many years, she was the narrator of the annual Missouri Valley High Vocal Department Christmas program aired on KMTV, Channel 3 in Omaha. She was long associated with the Missouri Valley Alumni, providing photos of each class' groups during reunions, and was well-known for her photo sessions at Prom and other school events and sports. She photographed the Homecoming Court at the football game and dance each year until just recently. Survivors include daughter, Anne Morgan and her husband, Robert, Council Bluffs; sons, John and his wife, Julie, Virginia Beach, Va., Robert and his wife, Marlene, Arlington, Va.; sister, Elizabeth Denniston, Shadyside, Md.; brother, Robert Rohwer and his wife, Barbara, Stillwater, Okla.; and three grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Friday, Dec. 3) at the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. Inurnment will be in Ft. Calhoun Cemetery, Ft. Calhoun, Neb.
