Brown, 80, of Missouri Valley will be Thursday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley. (http://bannerads.zwire.com/bannerads/redirect.cfm?ADLOCATION=4000&PAG=461&BRD=2554) Mr. Brown died Dec. 19 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Mr. Brown was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Omaha to Frank and Helen (Nickles) Brown. He was married to LaVaine Meyer of Missouri Valley, Oct. 4, 1957. Mr. Brown spent almost four years in the Navy during World War II in the European Theater on a mine sweeper. He retired from U.S. West in 1984 after 37 years. Survivors include his wife, LaVaine, of Missouri Valley; a son, Dan Brown, and wife, Julie, of Missouri Valley; a daughter, Kellie Barry, and husband, Roger of Woodbine; and four grandchildren, Chad and Ryan Brown, August Barry and Melissa Barry Mullock. Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley.
