Bud was born Feb. 2, 1928 in Honey Creek to George and Lulu (Sanderson) Morrison. He was a longtime farmer and U.S. Mail rural carrier, and lived in Honey Creek area most of his life. During the Korean Conflict, Bud served in the U.S. Air Force. He was married to his wife, Lois, for 54 years. Bud was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boomer Township, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) and the Eagles Club, Missouri Valley. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Francis. Survivors include his wife, Lois, Honey Creek; mother, Lulu, Missouri Valley; daughters, LaNeita Hathaway and her husband, Paul, Council Bluffs; Shelia Harper and her husband, Dwight, Honey Creek; Brenda Osborn and her husband, Danny, Missouri Valley; sisters, Helen Iden and her husband, Jim, Council Bluffs; and Shirley Cooper and her husband, Roger, Honey Creek; brothers, Robert Morrison and his wife, Marlene of Idaho; and Gary Morrison and his wife, Deanna, Honey Creek; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and aunts. Visitation with the family will be held today (Friday, Dec. 3) at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Boomer Township, the Rev. Charles Bichel, officiant. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion and V.F.W units of Missouri Valley. Interment will be in the Branson Cemetery near Loveland, with lunch to follow at the church. Memorials may be offered to the family.
