He was the son of John and Carrie Kaulen, Missouri Valley. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1941, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, part of which was in the European Theater. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ray, Art and Darwin, and sisters Lucille Meyer, Mildred Gaver and Marie Christians. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, Ontario Calif.; daughter, Wendy and family, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; son, John, Alta Loma, Calif.; sister, Leona Cummings, Temecula, Calif.; his twin sister, Josephine Myers, Missouri Valley; and nieces and nephews.
