Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA March 31st, 2004 Lonnie G. Sales, 64, of Council Bluffs died of cancer March 29 at home. He was born March 3, 1940, in Council Bluffs to Herbert W. and Gertrude M. (McIntosh) Sales. He was a concrete finisher working out of Local No. 1140 Laborers Union Hall for 40 years. Mr. Sales and his wife, Sharon (Tefft) Sales, were married Nov. 23, 1994. Survivors in addition to his wife include stepsons, Charles Gillespie and wife, Tammie, Donald Gillespie, Terry Gillespie and wife, Della, all of Council Bluffs; sisters, Alice Woods of Fountain Valley, Calif., Betty Morris and husband, Harold, of Pocola, Okla., Beatrice Waldron and husband, Charles, of Pisgah, Alma Clatterbuck and husband, Norman, of Salinas, Calif., Janice Case of Omaha and Lola Alley and husband, Larry, of Mantecca, Calif.; brothers, Johnny Sales and wife, Lillian, of Jacksonville, Fla., Norman Sales of Council Bluffs, Larry Sales and wife, Edith, of Mountain View, Calif., Arthur Sales, Rex Sales and wife, Phyllis, all of Council Bluffs, and Robert Sales and wife, Debra, of Omaha; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; aunt, Vera Swanger of Council Bluffs. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Claude Maddox of Harvest Temple Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery. A lunch will follow at Regal Towers. Food may be delivered Friday morning to Regal Towers. Memorials may be offered to the family.
