Daily Nonpareil Council Bluffs IA April 20th 2004 Larry Dean Jones, 71, of Council Bluffs died April 18 at home. He was born June 21, 1933, to Lyle G. and A. Maxine (Harris) Jones. He was a 1950 graduate of Missouri Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He was a truck driver, retiring in 1995. Mr. Jones and his wife, Betty Jean (Birdsall) Jones, were married Dec. 3, 1954. Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters, Kelly Stewart of Graham, Wash., Terry Williamson and husband, Dave, of Council Bluffs; son, Larry "L.G." Jones and wife, Colleen, of Omaha; five grandchildren. The body was cremated. Memorial service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel with the Rev. Roger Prescott officiating. Burial of ashes will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Hospice, Alegent Health Care, 7070 Spring St., Omaha, NE 68106.
